Hey, I’m Shosh.
I am a storyteller. I love breaking down complex ideas in fun and engaging ways. From edible insects to innovative design, you can find my work on National Geographic, Smithsonian Channel and Masterclass.
About Me:
I find stories, big and small. I translate complex research into content that a general audience wants to watch. I’m a writer, creative producer, and content strategist.
In every role, I bring together data and creativity to create compelling content.
I’ve traveled to the remote reaches of the Amazon and dug deep into the collections at Smithsonian to find those stories. But I’m also on a first name basis with my local librarian and read more magazines than I care to admit.
You don’t have to go far to find a great story.
Masterclass
Over the 4 years I was at Masterclass, I was promoted 3 times, rising in the ranks from a Creative Producer to Creative Director.
My responsibilities ranged from overseeing the creation of content for a new International vertical — to serving as the Interim Director of Development responsible for class concepts and portfolio strategy.
Experience
Smithsonian Channel
In the 9 years I was at Smithsonian Channel, I had my hands in everything from digital and social media content to museum exhibit videos to broadcast hours. With 19 museums and millions of objects there was no shortage of stories to tell.
As a project manager, I oversaw a team creating 130 exhibit videos for the Smithsonian Museum.
Freelance
My freelance work has included story development, archival research and field producing. Content is available on PBS, National Geographic and Smithsonian.
